Tonight I wanted to use my blendabilities–aka “blendies”–and play a little more with the pretty Park Lane papers. The large flower stamp in the Bloom with Hope set was the perfect image to use for this card. It is so much fun to use the alcohol markers–I continue to be amazed at the shading that emerges after it dries! Makes me feel almost like a painter, lol!
I don’t normally use this size card base, but it worked well for this design. It’s been awhile since I rounded any corners, too! I really wanted the sentiment to look like it was on a leaf, but when I did that, it just didn’t seem right. I played around with it–tried it in the lower left corner first with no layering, then tried it backed with the curly label punch (cut in half), but it still wasn’t looking good, so I added the modern label punch to the layer, and finally liked that. I LOVE the soft colors together! I meant to add some pearls to the upper left corner, but I got distracted by a bowl of ice cream calling my name, hahaha!

I’m so glad that I’m off work tomorrow–I’m looking forward to sleeping past 4am, and then spending some time with friends and my hubby. I’m hoping to get some extended time in “My Happy Place”, too (my stamping room!). Hoping all of you have a wonderful, relaxing day!
