Well, how in the world has it been a month since I posted! Not good, not good at all! It’s not like I haven’t been stamping–I have made quite a few cards–life just got in the way. I did go to Illinois to visit my Mom, and we had fun crafting together, then I came back home and lost my phone–ACK!!! Public Service Announcement–do NOT place anything on your car (i.e. a phone!!) and drive off. Sob—
Anyhow, I do have some super cute cards and projects to share with you all! The project today is the one I made with my Mom and my SIL. I have seen collages all over Pinterest and on other peoples blogs, and I have been wanting to make one forever! It is so easy to make with all of the different punches from Stampin’Up! Now, I will tell you that the frame I used was one I had laying around the house and it is something like 6×8. It is a great size, but when I went to the store to try to find more, all I saw were the 5×7. Of course, I only checked WalMart, so I will have to look at Kohls, Michaels and Hobby Lobby later on.
I liked the grouping of 5 images and a sentiment. *whispering* I didn’t have a current SU Halloween sentiment that would fit into my square, so I used an old $1 stamp from my stash. Do you think anyone will notice, lol???
For the 6×8 frame, the images should be 2″ squares, mounted on 2 1/4″ bases. If you use a 5×7 frame, the images can still be 2″ squares, but don’t use base piece. I had a picture of the 5×7 one that I made, but I hadn’t downloaded it yet, and then I lost my phone! I used a piece of plain Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 5×7 to layer those images on, and it really made them pop!
